FATAL INJURIES

++ The provisional annual figures for 2007/08 (and finalised figures for the year 2006/07) appeared in the quarterly injury statistics release on 30 June. The provisional figure for the number of workers fatally injured in 2007/08 is 228, and corresponds to a rate of 0.75 fatalities per 100 000 workers. ++ Further detail and comments on trends over recent years can be found at

MESOTHELIOMA DEATHS

++ Data and analysis of mesothelioma deaths which was due to be released in August has now been postponed. This is a result of a change to the data delivery arrangements with the Office for National Statistics (ONS). PSYCHOSOCIAL WORKING CONDITIONS SURVEY 2008 REPORT
