Testing times for Northampton’s flood warning sirens

The Environment Agency is testing a vital part of Northampton’s flood warning system on Wednesday, 29 September. Its five flood sirens in St James and Far Cotton will be sounded between 10am and noon to ensure they would work properly during a flood. The test will involve the intermittent sounding of the sirens and will last around 30 minutes.
