Trent Rivers Trust Annual Stocking

Environmental Agency Article:

A hundred and sixty thousand young small salmon will be stocked into the Rivers Dove and Churnet on Monday 4 October 2010 by the Trent Rivers Trust.

The fish will be brought from the Environment Agency’s Kielder Hatchery in Northumberland by articulated lorry in cool, well oxygenated water to ensure they are in the fittest possible condition when stocked into the river. The local Environment Agency fisheries team will help with the distribution and stocking.
